A few years back Sue and I visited Crater Lake, Oregon conveniently located in Crater Lake National Park, Certainly a trip I would recommend to everyone. One of the Park choices you can make is to take a motorized boat on a trip to the Island that sits at one end of the lake. Trail to the top of the Island is 1 mile – very interesting place to visit. This post is actually about the boat trip they offer along with the trip to the Island. You can add the choice to cruise the outside of the lake and view the entire crater from the inside. The picture I posted here is what you will see inside the crater – I would call it the Castle. a most interesting rock formation.
